We're always happy when someone wants to contribute ;-) But we don't have a developer documentation, so there are no class diagrams etc.
A good starting point might be a bugfix for an existing problem or a small feature contribution. Maybe there's something in our bugtracker[1] which fits your needs? Just ask here before you start with something, maybe someone has looked into an issue before and has some informations.. Maybe it is interesting to read or at least glance over the archive of this mailinglist to get an impression about the topics we discussed in the last time.
