Hi All

Just now i emailed with Filipe a couple of times to talk about Hydrogen and
his PPA
As some of you may know Filipe maintains the KXStudio
PPA<https://launchpad.net/~kxstudio-team>

This PPA focuses on Audio/multimedia apps and most apps are available for
Ubuntu Lucid, Natty and Maverick

Since the H2 download page was still missing an Ubuntu installer i have
placed a link to the KXStudio PPA instead.
All packages (and there are a _lot_, including Jack_session) in the KXStudio
PPA are good quality and frequently updated.

The PPA has 'stable' and a 'latest' versions available. 'Stable' holds the
official releases (like H2 0.9.5). In 'Latest' you can find svn snapshots.
The link to the 'stable' versions is already on the download page, the link
to 'latest' will follow later on.

Filipe is willing to build snapshots of the 0.9.6 now and then, so for
Ubuntu users that dont want to, or cant build H2 form source this means that
you will be able to install it from the PPA just like you install any other
app :-)
This means that more people will be able to use the alpha releases and
(hopefully) give feedback

!!! Before jumping in !!!
- read about PPA's : how to install PPA's, how to install apps from the PPA,
remove apps ...
- do not run 'update all' once you have added the PPA, instead you should
only install the apps you are interested in
- about the 'latest' builds : it is not because a svn snapshots is in a PPA
that it is bug-free !!
if you want your app to work : stay with the stable releases

any remarks, ideas ?

grtz
Thijs
