that's true, but as i know composite based on hydrogen 0.9.4 and currently
have no possibility or a feature to edit samples or even record them.
so, in moment composite is a good alternative to use jack midi instead alsa-
midi. the main difference is, that it is available as lv2plugin, and in this 
shape mostly to play midi messages from his host.
