Hi,

we decided to change our version control system to git and, in the same
step, move the hosting of our project from assembla to github [1]. The
old subversion repository will be accessible for some time, but the
development will happen from now on in the git repository.

The move of the ticket system is a little bit harder, since there is no
standard way to migrate tickets. I'm proposing to create new tickets
only at github and moving all tickets from assembla to github which have
no attached discussions. Open tickets with attached discussion can stay
on assembla until they are closed.

What does the change mean for users? The command for checking out the
sourcecode and fetching updates are changed. You can clone our
repository by using "git clone
git://github.com/hydrogen-music/hydrogen.git" and fetch updates by using
"git pull".

The most important fact is for me that the ticket tracker is now again
open for everyone and i hope that we won't get any new problems with spam.

Regards,
Sebastian
