Hi Sebastian
i finally found the time to test the new beta, and this is my feedback

*1) move song/pattern switch:*
- i like the fact that the button was removed (was not needed) an the indicators now act as buttons - maybe the location of the indicators could be better : it's rather easy to hit one of the transport buttons when you are trying to switch between song/pattern mode (but i have no idea where they should go)

*2) switching between note off/note length*
IIRC it was the intention to remove this button and move this function to a right-click context menu ?
i cant seem to figure out how to switch between these modes :-S
No, it is no context menu.. Shift+Left now places Note of notes. You change the length by dragging the note with the RMB.
*5) switch between drum and piano roll editor*

we had this discussion before, i know, and i'm guessing the reason this button is done like this is to save space, but it complicates stuff iso making it simple
and you can save more space by reducing the Size and Res dropdown boxes
(see drawing in att)
Hm, i discussed this with wolke and we both saw no problem with the button, and we never heard any complaints at the forum about the former implementation (which was basically the same, just with text on the button). It feels very intuitive for us :) But it is true that we can save more space with the combo boxes, i think we forgot to change that. But i'm a little bit confused right now why the label before the piano button holds the text "input". Shouldn't this be "editor" or something like this? Because it does not change the input mode, it just changes the view. The input mode went to the Tools menu (or shortcut alt+strg+I / alt+strg+D).
