hi All !
i'm currently creating a drumkit + some patterns for this drumkit.
and i was wondering if there is a way to link the pattern and the drumkit
it was created on.
in theory you can use 'any' pattern on 'any' GM-compliant drumkit assuming
that the pattern was also created on a GM-compliant drumkit
however, since even the GMkit is not GM-compliant i was thinking that it
might be a good idea to include a reference to the drumkit that was used
during the creation of the pattern (store it somewhere in the meta data of
the pattern?).
that way H2 could somehow inform the user of the fact that the pattern
should be used in combination with kitX
Continuing:
IMO it would be a good idea to add some sort of 'GM-compliant' indication
to the drumkits and the patterns.
that way you can instantly see if a certain pattern will work properly on a
specific drumkit
