Hi Chris!

There's always a lot to do :) You can start by looking at our bug reports at github (https://github.com/hydrogen-music/hydrogen/issues). Especially the bugs which are marked as "Severity 1" need attention in the next time. But if something apart from those are interesting for you, never mind.. just pick something that suits you :) There are also some feature requests at the issue tracker..
Best regards,

Sebastian

Thanks!

Regarding Rubberband, it's not the link that's the problem, it's the actual download: <https://code.breakfastquay.com/attachments/download/35/rubberband-1.8.1-gpl-executable-osx-universal.tar.bz2>

I get a "can't establish a connection to the server at code.breakfastquay.com" error. Any chance someone could make this available (email it if it's not too big or use Dropbox).

Is there anything specific that needs attention? Bugs, new features? Where should I start?

Cheers,

Chris

Hi Chris!

Welcome to hydrogen :) This mailing list is definitely the best place for development related questions.. Hydrogen on OS X is more or less actively maintained, so you can build it without problem on a recent version of OS X. I've disabled the 32bit builds in cmake at the moment, but even that could be enabled again if someone wants to build for older versions of OS X.

I guess the LADSPA issue is a problem with the specific build you're using.. IIRC this version was put together by myself and i forgot to enable the LADSPA support at that time. This should be definitely fixed and tested in the next version for OS X...

Hm, the librubberband download is working here, maybe it was just a temporary issue? If you have any problem with building hydrogen on OS X, just ask here..

Best regards,
Sebastian

Hi,

I'm a musician (mainly guitar), programmer (C, C++, audio, MIDI) and technical writer. I originally studied music but moved into programming and technical writing. I work primarily on OSX. I'm looking for a music/audio project that I can help out with. Before getting started I have a couple of questions:

1. What is the development status on OSX?

2. I've downloaded the latest version of Hydrogen and noticed that it doesn't have effects (I take it that LADSPA isn't working).

3. Hydrogen uses Rubberband for time-stretching however I can't access any of the downloads on the Rubberband website <http://breakfastquay.com/rubberband/> <http://breakfastquay.com/rubberband/>

First thing I'm going to do is try and get a build of Hydrogen working.

Is this the best place for development discussion (I know programs like Ardour tend to do all the dev discussion on IRC)?

Cheers,

Chris
