I think your arguments make sense, so YES to Hydrogen 1.0 !!!

you do realize that this will have to be the best Hydrogen 'ever', right ?
this means that we need to
1) clearly define the scope of the features for 1.0 before we begin
2) get rid of all rough edges and make this a very stable and smooth user
experience (this means cleaning up all the not-so-sexy stuff too)
3) test test test
4) do everything else i forgot  ;-)

this is also a good opportunity to
- clean up / move the site
- provide drumkits that support all of the multi-multi-layer features H2
has to offer

how about an actual meeting with everyone who has been contributing to H2
in the last couple of years ?
hangout, skype, webex .. whathaveyou
i tried this before but at that time there was little interest in doing
this, maybe now the time is right ?
