Hi! While I am thinking that github pages is a good start for something which plans to also start tickets and issues queues parallel with github as well, I do not really see the "overload" on using Drupal. Sure, sometimes we look for sth. new. I know that :) But on the end I always came back to Drupal, and Drupal 8 is just a no brainer with charm and Symfony under the hood. Our last site took only a day. And Drupal is just the back end where you can have even closed areas for your team etc. and spam can be limited very successful with some very simple tricks. We run many Drupal 6,7,8 sites and team back ends without spam and for even smaller approaches than to present the only useful drum machine on Linux ;-) ATM. I would love to see progress on Hydrogen look but I am not sure if github pages will be the last answer for it. Just my 2 cents, sorry if I am late with this.
But to keep it constructive for now, github pages are fine. Temporary surely better than an outdated page. But TBH, to forums of Hydrogen is the much bigger problem than the site itself actually. I tried to register and post sth with no success lately. And TBH again, Wordpress is just a PITA. If you worry about spam on Drupal, than you better worry about injections on your Server running Wordpress. We disallowed WP because of too many site hacks. Wordpress is an early fork of Drupal when Drupal was a kiddy and the maintainer of WP was a Drupal member. But for me WP sites always smelled like toy not like serious presentation. More later ... heads up to you guys. Hope to contribute soon! Got to go.
