Hi,
small update: the ubuntu and os x jobs are now running on appveyor (also
for the releases/1.0 branch). There is just one issue left with the OS X
tests, it seems that the libsndfile version which is used on the remote
machine is not able to read our flac reference files.
Best regards,
Sebastian

Hi everyone,
the folks at travis have changed their pricing model for their future
platform travis-ci.com. Currently we're using travis-ci.org, which
will be shutdown at the end of this year. For travis-ci.com, it seems
that they will charge per used-build time, especially for OS X jobs .
Have a look here:
https://blog.travis-ci.com/2020-11-02-travis-ci-new-billing /
https://blog.travis-ci.com/oss-announcement. I did some testing on the
new platform and did 3 OS X build on a public repo (my fork of the
hydrogen repo), which amounted to 5000 Credits. Open Source projects
seem to have free budget of 25000 credits. It seems that you can ask
for more if you contact their support. It seems also to be the case
that they charge for other build types (like linux builds), but less
credits then for the OS X builds. The whole situation is a bit unclear
for me, and the travis forum is also full of people who have some
questions about the new pricing model :)
So this gives us some trouble, since we're using travis to generate
our OS X dmg images. One solution would be to move to appveyor
completely (we're currently using it for CI windows builds). They
offer Mac OS X images, but only a limited set, so we would not be able
to put out "legacy" images for older OS X versions any more. On the
other hand, it would be nice to have all builds on one platform.
This situation is quite frustrating, especially since Przemysław spend
a lot of work on those travis OS X build automations.
As a sidenote: The travis-ci.org OS X jobs are also giving me some
trouble at the time (they're running more then 50 minutes and are
therefore killed by travis), so it could be that we also can't build
the images for the 1.0.2 release on travis :-/
Best regards,
Sebastian
