Paragraphs are even messed up in the hyperlatex manual:

Thanks for doing this! Many of us are relying on hyperlatex (e.g., we
are currently writing a book in Hyperlatex that current produces 262 web
pages, and we don't want to have to manually check all of our paragraphs
in the book form as well as the html!).
