Hi Pheoenix, This is one of those features that never quite got fully implemented. I'm in the process of doing some work on the timestamps / version numbers. After I get that work checked in, that would be a good time to get the TTL column family garbage collection working. I filed issue 160<http://code.google.com/p/hypertable/issues/detail?id=160>for this. Thanks for reporting this.
