Currently the close_mutator call accepts a boolean argument called flush
which defaults to true. I am planning to remove this argument and always
flush the mutator in the close_mutator call. There is no situation where one
would want to call this method with the argument set to false since the
mutator is smart enough to not flush if there is no data to flush. This
change will avoid any future confusion over the use of this argument.
