This is because our mac build machine became inconsistent when I got the
dependencies setup for the Thrift upgrade.  The 0.9.7.18 release just
contains a few bug fixes, so unless you're hitting those bugs, 0.9.7.17 is
nearly equivalent.  This problem will be resolved in the 0.9.8.0 release.
 But thanks for reporting this.
