Kalo ini mah lain lagi problemnya, rusak kena induksi petir yg besar.
Pada saat hujan petir, sebaiknya ya dicabut kabel power peralatan elektronik
kita yg mahal2, TV, komputer, DVD, Hifi, dll. atau pasang anti petir.
Beberapa UPS & stabilizer seperti APC, Pascal, dll. menyediakannya.
Tapi jangan lupa juga untuk memasang ground yg benar, lebih dekat ke bumi
lebih baik, mungkin dari casing komputer ke pipa PAM/ledeng yg dari besi di
tanah atau beberapa puluh cm di bawah lantai dasar.
Sebetulnya ada methoda pengukuran bagus tidaknya grounding, tapi saya sudah
lupa cara persisnya, kira2 begini (mohon dikoreksi bagi yg tahu):
L=Live, dari PLN yg ada strumnya, check pakai test pen -> nyala
N=Netral, yg tidak ada strumnya, check pakai test pen -> mati
G=Ground, yg di hubungkan ke bumi
Ukur dgn Voltmeter AC:
L dgn N: 220 Volt
L dgn G: 220 Volt
N dgn G: kecil sekali, idealnya 0 (Nol) Volt

Teman saya tidak pernah melepas kabel power komputer dari stop
kontak. Tapi minggu lalu komputernya 'kebakar' waktu ada petir.
Nah, kalo gini gimana?
Padahal katanya udah ada kabel ke ground (kabel dari casing ke paku di
tembok).
Gimana cara pasang kabel ground yang baik?
