I have some TTC fonts, which are quite commonly used for koreans because they
are default fonts for Microsoft Windows family (Korean Versions).

When I try to use them in KDE2 with AA support, they are not well rendered as
I expected. XftCache containts the following lines for them :

"BATANG.TTC" 0
"Batang:style=Regular:slant=0:weight=100:encoding=iso10646-1,iso8859-1,glyphs-fontspecific:core=False:index=0:outline=True:scalable=True"

"BATANG.TTC" 1
"BatangChe:style=Regular:slant=0:weight=100:encoding=iso10646-1,iso8859-1,glyphs-fontspecific:core=False:index=1:outline=True:scalable=True"

"BATANG.TTC" 2
"Gungsuh:style=Regular:slant=0:weight=100:encoding=iso10646-1,iso8859-1,glyphs-fontspecific:core=False:index=2:outline=True:scalable=True"

"BATANG.TTC" 3
"GungsuhChe:style=Regular:slant=0:weight=100:encoding=iso10646-1,iso8859-1,glyphs-fontspecific:core=False:index=3:outline=True:scalable=True"

Where *Che(eg., BatangChe) fonts should be mono-spaced.

One problem I've found is these TTC fonts are not rendered (invisible) in
some range of points (size). For BATANG.TTC, the invisible range of points is
[9, 24].

Is this a bug? FreeType2 or XFT?
