Yes, all the missing keysyms represents unicode characters. Some of the characters first appeared in unicode 3.1, but at the moment, all the sami characters are in unicode. This is what I wrote 2001-08-14: From: Petter Reinholdtsen <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Missing some sami characters in X11 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Date: Tue, 14 Aug 2001 11:03:37 +0200 The following unicode characters are needed in the sami keyboard layout and character sets (ISO-IR-197 and ISO-IR-209), but seem to be missing from the XFree86 reportoare. Which files, in addition to X11/keysymdefs.h, do I need to modify to add these characters? Should I use the unicode value, or should I make up some other number for the X11 defines? I assume you are talking about the proposal described in <URL:http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~mgk25/ucs/xorg.html>. Is there any indication if (when) this proposal will be included in X11? Is it already part of XFree86? > So please check what is the relation of your proposed keysyms with > Unicode 3.1, and then drop us a note on i18n@.
