Hi, I'm working on key input handling routines for a wordprocessor. The implementation is based on the X11 InputMethod/InputContext framework. If available the implementation uses preedit and status callbacks.
Driven by user interaction we sometimes want to reset the InputContext even in preedit mode. However calling XmbResetIC() does neither return the current preedit buffer nor does it reset the IME server. I tested it both with kinput2 and xcin on TurboLinux6.0 and Redhat7.1. For what it's worth it works on Solaris with htt. Any hint or idea about that is welcome.
