e.g. Czech and Slovak official layouts have accented letter on those
keys, and digits are accessible via shift. I loathe this design, and I
am using my self-made layout where there are accented letters on those
keys, and shift gives original symbols (!@#$%^&*()).
Digits are accessble on numeric keypad, or via AltGr.
(I found out that typing numbers when all the digits are 
in one row is really cumbersome and prone to typos)

But, other people do not seem to share my opinion...
