Hi there: I noticed that the Farsi (fa-IR) keyboard layout that comes with the latest version of XFree86 is a not a fully functional layout; I also checked your CVS and the same applies to the layout in the CVS. The problem with this keyboard is that the upper row of keyboard character (including numbers and parentheses and etc) is not Farsi at all (when you press these keys, English numbers appear instead of Farsi ones), and IMHO this is a pretty big issue, specially as your keyboard layout is the one that is shipped with leading GNU/Linux distros. Has anyone written a complete Farsi layout, or should I write one & send them to you?
