(I'm not in any position of authority) I don't think you are expected to have everything polished by the feature freeze; the deadline is just no new features. After that date all you are allowed to be is fix bugs in existing features. I'd definitely consider a missing/not working map to be a bug. If you can get a goods set of examples and documentation by the freeze, then anyone/everyone with a different keyboard can check that it works for them, and will know how to fix it if it doesn't. -- Dr. Andrew C.
