Thanks for the reply. 

I've just discovered that there are a few characters
absent from the Unicode table for Sinhala (ver 3.0).

Could I use any of the unoccupied code points (within
the Sinhala code space, of course) for these 
characters as a temporary measure ?

This problem also affects the font and locale files
that I am writing.
