Hi,

I would like to know what are the components that need
to be developed in order to provide support for a new
language (Sinhala) ?

So far, I have written a locale, xkb layout and
designed a font. Is there any thing else ?
I noticed a file called XLC_LOCALE and XI18N_OBJS for
a number of languages. What do these files do ?

Another issue I need to solve is the handling of
combining characters. Whenever, a certain dependant
vowel is present (corressponding to a particular
Unicoded value), it should modify the previous
character to form a new letter. In other words, the
new letter is composed by the combination of two
Unicode values and should correspond to one glyph
image. Is there a mechanism to do this ?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Navin
