Hello, Nowadays I'm totally blocked after two weeks dealing with my keyboard, and after browsing google.com looking for one solution to my problem.
I have XFree86 4.0.2 on an LinuxFromScratch-based distro (kernel 2.4.18)... this machine have attached a customized keyboard (own-made antivandalic one). I have to setup that keyboard to write both in cyrillic and latin charsets. I have followed the steps at URL (http://www.math.nyu.edu/phd_students/krasnov/cyrillic_notes.html) and the only thing I have customized is the *.xmm file that is passed to ~/xrus/bin/xrus to fit into my own keyboard. When I launch my FVWM2 window manager, I start an xterm with the params described, and launch the xrus app, it prints the following lines: ~$ ~/xrus/bin/xrus $HOME/xrus/share/xruskb/my-kbd.xmm Warning: X locale not supported by Xlib, locale set to C Warning: X locale modifiers not supported, using default The xterm doesn't print the cyrillic chars that I type at the keyboard, so I tried with the tips that could collect at the WWW, just check for the locale.alias and locale.dir to be OK, and export the LANG and MM_CHARSETS environment variables to ru_RU.KOI8-R but it doesn't work... Sure I'am doing something wrong, but I have no idea, whether it has something to do with the way I built and configured XFree86 or anything else... Thans in advance and best regards, Miguel ngel _______________________________________________ I18n mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://XFree86.Org/mailman/listinfo/i18n
