Hi all,

I remember discussions with Frank Murphy on this list regarding consistent naming of keymaps.

So, I'm developing new Serbian maps, and that triggers the issue of naming (I'm not really sure what did he decide on).

This is all related to http://bugs.xfree86.org/show_bug.cgi?id=92

Serbian language uses two different scripts: cyrillic and latin. I need to provide both. It would be wise to have a simple map for accessing any (ie. it shouldn't be necessary to use -variant option to get either one).

Also, I'm not sure on what codes should I use.

Serbian language has "scc" and "srp" three-letter ISO 639-2 codes, and "sr" two-letter ISO 639-1 code. Also, Serbia and Montenegro (where Serbian is mostly used) has "CS" two-letter ISO 3166 code, three letter code is "SCG".

I think it would be best to put Serbian cyrillic keymap in "sr", and provide "scg" map which would use latin map as default.

Any thoughts on this?

Cheers,
Danilo
