At the Hachathon of IETF97 (Seoul), teams from SKKU, KT, and ETRI demonstrated
the feasibility of a data-driven I2NSF framework. More than 20 people actively
participated from
SKKU, ETRI, KT, Konkun University, and Huawei. That is why they got the Best
Group Work award this time :-)

Their running code and showcase at the IETF 97 Hackathon contributed greatly to
the I2NSF information model and data models.

I highly recommend more people participating in the Chicago Hackathon. If you
have contacts in any universities in the area, please send this invitation to
them.

Fellow WG Chairs,

Please put some thought into what could be done at the hackathon to accelerate
your current work or to put your past work into the hands of the developer
community more effectively. Even if you do not have the time or expertise to
champion the project yourself, circulate your ideas within your working group
and at [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> and we will try to get
others to step up to help.

Cheers,
Charles

The IETF motto is “Running Code and Rough Consensus”. And we try to arrange
opportunities for that code writing to happen. The IETF Hackathon focuses on
open source projects and Internet technology, the CodeSprint is about IETF’s
own tools and web services, interoperability events test specific pieces of
technology, and so on.

I wanted to let everyone know what we will be hosting another IETF Hackathon at
IETF-98. The Chicago Hackathon will run from Saturday March 25 to Sunday March
26.

And remember that what you do at these events is up to YOU. Add your own topic
to the wiki, and come to the Hackathon to work on it.
