I have made a number of posts to the I2RS list over the past two months
offering information and opinion on what YANG and NETCONF are and how
they might interact with I2RS. This I-D brings them together in a
single place.

I did call it 'NETCONF Surprises' at first - as I have said before, YANG
and NETCONF do an excellent job in the role for which they were defined,
that of config, but might surprise those who are not over familiar with
them.
