Tom,

Let me be absolutely clear - and this is not just directed at you,
obviously.

The IESG shares the various balloting positions for transparency.
They are supposed to be handling specific technical concerns and objections.

I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the discussion, the efforts
to reopen
topics that have been closed and approved for publication, and the shocking
and
appalling unwillingness to listen or discuss the actual issues involved.

I2RS uses feature extensions that were not available in basic YANG and
NetConf.
Those features are used in I2RS models. Unsurprisingly, this can and does
carry
security implications depending on the details of the feature.

IF several of you have not been thinking through the implications of the
work, it
is not for lack of effort on the part of the I2RS WG or its chairs, in the
past and present.

It would be fascinating to see conversation delving into the technical
questions instead
of trying to assert how things should be without doing the detailed work of
understanding
the implications.

I have excellent technical conversations with most of you across many years.

I am extremely disappointed.

Alia
