A few years ago, 6 years to be precise i was unemployed, fat and bored. I used 
to drive to the job centre that was just around the corner to search for jobs. 
One day i saw a job advertised about becoming a Health/Fitness and Weight Loss 
Specialist. 

Now all of a sudden i was interested, so i went to the job advisor and asked 
her if i could apply. She said yes but with a smirk on her face. I knew  why 
she was smirking. I will tell you in a minute. 

I applied and went for an interview and got the job but i had to do a course 
before hand to get accreditation. I knew i had to lose weight for my new job. 
This made me more determined. The reason why the job advisor was smirking was 
because i was overweight. I was 5 foot 8 inches and 14 stone.

During the course i learn't about exercise and nutrition and also about health 
and safety. My goal was to become fit and healthy by the time i finished the 
course which was of one year duration. By the time i had completed the course 
and qualified as an instructor i was as fit as a fiddle and was 11 stone of 
rippling muscle. How did i achieve that. Here was how:

Fitness program

During the course i was introduced to various training programs. I did not 
really like the weight training program so i settled for a body weight program 
made famous by a guy called Matt Furey. It is called Combat Contioning.

This is the ulitimate fitness and conditioning program that simultaneously 
improves strength, endurance and flexibility with body weight exercises.

Here are 10 reasons why Combat Conditioning is the best fitness program to lose 
weight for my new job:

1. Can be done anywhere.

2. No equipment needed.

3. Greatly improves strength and power without injury.

4. Great for ligaments and joints.

5. Simultaneously increases strength and flexiblity throughout the entire body.

7. Helps eliminate neck and shoulder pain.

8. A full body workout in 15 minutes or less.

10. Posing mirror and spandex not required.

There are just three exercises that i do that make up what is called the Royal 
Court. The first exercise is called the Hindu Squat. this is how i do them. I 
stand with my feet shoulder width apart and hands down by my sides. Then i 
raise my hands till they are horizontal and then squat down and pull my hands 
to my side as i come back up. At present i can do about 170 no stop squats.

The next exercise is called the Hindu Pushup.This exercise is a bit like Dive 
bombers. I can do 40 reps at present. 

The finally exercise is called the Bridge. This is essentially where you lie on 
your back and support your self with your head and feet. I hold this position 
for 4 minutes. These exercises get you fit like nothing else and it only takes 
15 minutes a day.

Nutrition Plan.

Basically i eliminated all simple carbs, starch and sugar and concentrated on 
complex carbs like whole grains, fruits and vegetables. I eliminated alcohol 
and just drink water. No fizzy drinks whatsoever. I also eat high protein 
sources like fish, eggs, skim milk, chicken and lean meat.

These programs worked for me. I was made up with my new job and happy for the 
fact that i had to lose weight for my new job.
