What if you are not home at lunch time or you do not have time to make one of
your favorite low fat fare in the morning?

Any time you go on your lunch break you can make a good choice and turn on your
body's fat burners. How? You may ask. By taking opportunites tosqueeze out the
fat and calories but keep the taste intact.

This is easy. especially if you don't let junk or fast food rule you. Here are
a few tips that might help you out of high fat patterns and into zap the fat
patterns.

Go for mineral water.

A monster sized diet coke is not your best option for lunch. All that sweetness
stimulates your appetite, while the drink does little to quench your thirst.

It also does nothing for taste. Anyone who knows about healthy nutrition would
grimace if he saw someone drinking down a sweet tasting soda. For your lunch
time beverage drink ice water. Or if you like the taste of milk drink skim milk.

Dont feast on chips.

For some people lunch without chips is like love without kisses. One of the
biggest self deceptions is that most people think that you can eat just a few.
They are high in fat. so you dont need to be eating them during your midday
lunch.

Watch out for the soup fat.

To get the fat fighting appetite suppressing benefits of soup, you have to lean
toward soups made with light broth or vegetable stock. For example tomato soup
made with skim milk.

Get fresh.

If you are going to a salad bar pile on the fresh salad. Well stocked salad
bars these days have an array of fresh greens and garden grown fixings, e.g
lettuce, romaine to name a few.

Don't dress with fat.

Garden salads can be part of lunch. But don't pour on salad dressing because
you will be adding a whopping 25 grams or more. Many resturants now offer zero
fat dressings. or you can skip the dressings altogether and go for just a
squeeze of lemon juice or lime juice.

Hate the fench fries. These will definately not zap the fat. many restaurants
are now claiming that their fries do not pack on the fat because they use
vegetable oil to fry them. They may have less saturated fats but they are high
in triglycerides.

Get your just deserts.

When you get that sweet touch go for a desert but make a right informative
decision to go for low fat desert. Chew these bites slowly, savouring the
taste. This step will help zap the fat.
