England has the advantage of having a better knowledge of the conditions but they know that Pakistan is always the most unpredictable side to tackle. Pakistan, runner-up in the last edition will bank on their bowling which has been the key in their last outings at the T20 stage. The return of speed kin Shoaib Akhtar will give them a big boost. IPL's first edition's bowling hero for the champions Rajasthan Royals' Sohail Tanvir will share the new bowl with Shoaib Akhtar. His slinging action has been a mystery for most of the top batsmen in the world and his mastery of swinging the bowl both ways makes him lethal with the new bowl. They will be backed up by the highest wicket taker in T20-Umar Gul. Gul is regarded by many as the best depth bowler. His yorkers have been gone answerless by most of the batsmen and his well directed bouncers are among the best. He will have the role of bowling in the depth when the batting team will be trying to end the innings on a high. Shahid Afridi, last edition's player of the tournament, will have a big say in the performance of Pakistan. It is his wicket to wicket line with a little bit of drift that puts the opponents on the back foot at the time when they are looking to consolidate. He picked up 11 wickets in the last edition which goes to show he is a wicket taking bowler. Pakistan will rely on their last time hero Misbah. He averages over 50 in this format and he will hold Pakistan batting together. He will be supported by opener Salman Butt, last time 4th highest run getter all rounder Shoaib Malik and master blaster wicket keeper Kamran Akmal. England has a strong batting line up for this format. They possess the likes of the most expensive IPL players in flamboyant Kevin Peitersen and arguably the world's best all rounder Andrew Flintoff. Ravi Bopara has impressed for Punjab in the IPL, he will be handy at the top of the order. Durham star and England captain Collingwood will keep the scorers busy in the middle order. Middlesex superstar Owais Shah and first class cricket's highest individual score record holder Graham Napier will provide the impetus in the middle of the innings. Bowling is their weakest link. Andrew Flintoff will lead the bowling attack. He will be supported by James Anderson and Stuart Broad. Dmitri Maschrenas will bowl his wicket to wicket line. Swann is in superb form off late, he will be handy with his spin bowling if he gets a chance. The fielding is at on the same level. Both have some excellent fielders. England has in their ranks captain Collingwood, Owais Shah and Flintoff. Pakistan on the other side has captain Younus Khan, Shahid Afiridi and Shoaib Malik. England has the home advantage but Pakistan has more match-winners. Keep watching ScoresPro for getting live actions and cricket results.
