Is one of your girlfriends tying the knot? Have you been asked to help prepare her bachelorette party? If so, you want to make sure that the occasion is special and that everyone has a great time. But what if she has asked that her party be held at someone's house, instead of out on the town? If this is the case, and you have been asked to do the honors, then these tips ought to help. First do something really special for the bride to be, such as renting a limo to pick her and her friends up to bring them to the house. You may not be going out on the town, but you can do something that is a little bit over the top. You can give the driver instructions to pick the bride to be and a few of her friends up to bring them to the party. If you really want to have some fun, you can have him pretend that he is headed somewhere else: maybe a place that the bride would never dare to go for her party, like a petting zoo. Once you have set the mood with a little extravagance and a good spirited practical joke, you can bring the night life home by getting a bit creative with the entertainment. If the guests like live music, you can hire some musicians to do a little unplugged performance at the house. Just be sure that you do something that will keep you in good graces with your neighbors, that is unless they are invited as well. Next, you move on to the food selection. In case you have not broken the bank with the limo and the musicians, you can have the night catered, complete with servers and a professional host. The food could vary from the casual to the very elegant. Just make sure that you find out what kind of things the bride might like to have, since it is, after all, her night. Of course, no bachelorette party is complete without a really great toast speech. The best way to do this is collect a bit of information from some of the ladies who will be attending. Have one of them combine the information into something that can be spoken on the night of the party. This will insure that everyone gets the chance to say what they have to say to the bride to be. Make sure that whoever you choose to do the honors is someone who is comfortable with speaking in front of people and can get the message across. Of course, no party would be complete without a little dancing and since there are no strangers around to embarrass you, then you might as well cut loose. Have one of the guests who knows an easy to learn and fun dance teach it to everyone. In fact, it might be best to start the night out like this as a little bit of an icebreaker. Last, make sure that you and the girls select something for the bride to be that she can keep to remember the night by. This could be any kind of gift, but if you really want to do something nice, you could take pictures and create a guestbook for everyone to sign. Use these tips and you will be sure to put together a party the special lady will not forget. Have fun! Danielle Brooks is a writer for Dinnerware Center.
