Are you planning on having some friends over for a slumber party and looking for some ideas to make it really fun? Being the host, you don't want to put everyone to sleep, do you? Well, not at first anyway, and if you can make things so exciting that no one is able to sleep, all the better, right? So since you need to come up with something that will make the night memorable and exciting for everyone, then you are going to need some creative ideas. Here are four essential tips that can help you to make your slumber party a real hit. The first thing you absolutely MUST get right on the money is the music. Since music is something where everyone has a bit of a different preference, you will want to make sure that you choose something everyone likes. This may sound like a real chore, but with the technology available today, it should really not be a problem. Simply get in touch with all the guests ahead of time and ask them for a handful of songs they would like to hear at the party. Once you have a good list put together, make a few compilation CD's to play on the night of the party. The second thing you want to get right is the food. A slumber party is no time to be watching your figure, so you really should not have to sweat doing anything fancy. Plenty of junk food will do just fine, and why not some sugary stuff to make sure that your guests don't go to sleep on you? If you really want to get the guest's energy levels up, you could have a soda guzzling contest. Just make sure that you pick something that has lots of caffeine and a lot of sugar! The third thing you have to do is get some great games going to keep things exciting. Ok, since there are not going to be any guys around, how about a nice burping contest? This would be a great game to go along with the soda guzzling and always makes for great laughs. However, there is a chance that a lot of the guests may not know one another very well, so it might be a good idea to start the night out with a few icebreakers. Find some kind of game where each person gets to tell a little bit about themselves and you can be sure that the night will get off to a good start. Finally, have some kind of incentive to keep people from falling asleep and make sure that everyone sticks to it. This can be really fun if you have a pool, because you can toss the sleepy heads in to wake them up just a little bit. Be sure that everyone brings a change of clothes in case they end up being the unfortunate victim. If you do not have a pool, or think that you might offend someone, you can always have everyone else hide and pretend that you left the sleeping person alone. When everyone is out of sight, turn up the radio and let them wake up wondering what happened. So there are some tips that can help you to make things really interesting. Be safe and have fun!
