Do you love reading a good book? Do you love to curl up in an easy chair or some other incredibly comfortable place and really enjoy this book? Have you ever finished a book, and thought to yourself, "I could've written that!" Well, guess what? Because you were able to enjoy this book, and then have that thought, that is proof that you have the ability to do just that. Some people think that authors are super creative people who have some special talent or gift of prose. Not true. Humans have been telling stories to each other since before we learned how to read and write. We communicate through stories. How many times have you been hanging out with your friends, and you told a story about something that happened, only you embellished it to make it more interesting? Of course you have. It is a natural human talent. Story telling comes built in with our innate ability for language. Some believe the whole purpose humans developed language was so we could tell each other stories. So what is separating you from those guys and girls with their names in the top ten list of the New York Times? Is it intelligence? Creativity? Nope. Action. Writing. Putting pencil to paper (or fingers to keyboard). The stories you have in your head based on your own unique experience are just as good, maybe even better, than the ones that are on the shelves of your local bookstore. What most people don't realize is that you have story to tell. Imagine what it would be like had you started that novel one year ago. Where would you be today? Should you not realize how important this is, just look at all the other things you've accomplished that you started much earlier than now. When you come to the conclusion that all you need to do is get started, you are well on the path to writing that novel that thousands or maybe even millions of people will have the pleasure of reading. As you really become aware of this, you may just realize that you have more story ideas in your brain that you thought previously. Your creative imagination is what will propel you to success when you begin writing on a daily basis. Every published knows that the first few words are the hardest, but once you get through the initial resistance, the rest is easy. And when you imagine yourself in the future, looking back to when you made that dedication to write that novel that has already become a bestseller, you'll be grateful you had the courage to make that decision. And it's not only about creativity, it's about persistence and dedication to creating a story that will really entertain thousands of people. Who cares if some people can't really understand your creative genius? For everyone that doesn't "get" your story, hundreds or even thousands more will not only enjoy it, but be inspired by it. The only thing keeping your stories off of those bookshelves is you. Do the world a favor. Start writing. Today. Taking the first step is sometimes the hardest for some. Because you can imagine what it will be like when you become successful, you can take advantage of this opportunity. You'll find out just how easy that is when you visit http://www.georgehutton.net/zapotec ------------------ ARTICLE END ------------------ [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
