You see it everywhere, "Internet Millions," "Get Rich Online GUARANTEED Returns," and all sorts of catch phrases like these. But why do so many people fail when they try these programs? There are many different individual answers depending on which system you choose to buy into, but all of them come down to the same core principles. First and foremost I would like to say that YES, with almost every online income program that I have come across, there is potential to build an enormous business and make a substantial profit that can change your life, if you know what you are doing. However, that is the main "catch," it only works if you know what you are doing. Just about every program out there claims to give you all of the tools you need in order to be successful on the internet, and to some extent they do give you a great amount of resources to assist you in doing so, but what I have seen time and time again with many different programs is that each one tends to leave out "pieces of the puzzle" to achieving success. Experiencing success as an entrepreneur on the internet boils down to three key principals. You must know each of these three principals in order to make it happen for you. These principles are as follows: You need to know what to promote, You need to know where to promote, and You need to know how to promote. With most income systems they graciously provide you with a substantial amount of products or services for you to promote. In many cases they even give you your own free websites where people can come to buy your products. Now not to mention any names, but a good portion of these "systems" leave out the most important part of having an internet business: Promoting it! Without providing you with this information, you could have the best website on the face of the earth but you won't make a nickel if nobody can ever find it. Don't get me wrong, some of them give you a small idea on what to do, but internet marketing can be a very in depth subject, albeit much easier than what most people go through working for someone at a regular job, but still you'll find it hard to find success in any venture if you don't know what you're doing. Without providing you in depth demonstration and advice on how to promote your website, they are doing you a disservice and setting you up for failure. What about those online systems that are about information? What I mean is they sell you the knowledge of how to promote products and services online, successfully. These in my humble opinion are of much greater value than the other systems that give you a product to offer people, but many of them still leave you without any idea of what you should be marketing in order to achieve the maximum level of success that you can. Without knowing what products and services are hot in the market, you may find yourself spending a lot of time and money on something that provides little or no return at all for your effort. Now we jump to the last scenario. You sit there at your computer ecstatic because you found the right system that gives you everything you could ever dream of. They gave you a website, they gave you products, they taught you how to effectively promote your website and even taught you how to rank well over time on search engines. You should be good to go right? Wrong. Guess what they left out? They didn't tell you WHERE to promote your site, so as you begin to try to implement everything that they have taught and given you, you find yourself with a treasure map guiding you all around a desert island, without an X marking the spot where to dig. Congratulations! You have just enrolled in the extended academic program for the school of hard knocks. This seems like a pretty bad situation, right? So you know how to make ads, but where do you put them? What pages will give you the best results? What pages have the highest amount of YOUR TARGETED Traffic? How do you even GET targeted traffic? Without teaching you how to find these, or giving you an idea, you could find yourself quitting before you had success simply because you were unable to locate the best places to invest your time. So remember, if you are planning on changing your life through internet marketing, remember these key principles when choosing what system is best for you. If the system does not provide you with these three things, you may find your internet marketing career similar to running on a treadmill.
