The Chevy Cavalier, or the Chevrolet cavalier as it was officially known as,
was a very popular compact automobile which was originally introduced to the
market back in 1982. Since then it went up through many redesigns and came to
be a very popular motor with a great deal of positive reviews and are generally
happy customer base.

Our regional either cavalier went on sale in 1981. It was a front wheel drive
with 24 cylinder engines. It came in two forms, one with two doors and one with
four doors. It also has a hatchback style and station wagon body styles. At
that time, the car was largely identical to another model, a Pontiac which was
introduced in Mexico in 1992.

The second generation of cavaliers came in in 1988. They were thoroughly
redesigned with a different styling and considerably modified engines. They
also had varying body styles but the hatchback body style and the two doors
sedan eventually disappeared from the product range. They were replaced by the
coupe.

The second generation had varying body styles as it did the first generation
although the two door sedan model had been abandoned as was the hatchback body
style eventually. Through the redesigns, these for avenge she replaced by the
coupe design.

In 1990 the engine was given a major upgrade, from 2. 8 l to 3. 1. Also, at the
time the transmission was somewhat overhauled, enhancing performance of the car
to compete with models which were being released at the time from other
companies. It went through another revision again in 1991 with regards to the
interior and the exterior but for three years after that, the car did not
change great deal more.

When third generation came in, it went through a complete facelift. The 1995
cavalier was a total redesign and do not have a great deal in common with its
original predecessors. The third generation saw many other major changes as
well. The wagon star was discontinued a previously discontinued styles
including the coupe and convertible were reintroduced.

In 2005, this line of products from Chevrolet was replaced with the Chevrolet
Cobalt. This car is now available is both coupe and sedan models. It also
continues production today and is not yet undergone any major changes and
redesigns. However, it is expected in 2009 that the company will release
another model of car to replace this one. This will be the global successor to
this model and expects to hit the market sometime later in this year. You can
find quite a lot of information about this car on the Internet.
