Before you go holidaying somewhere it is always a good idea to know what there
is to do there, more so if you have kids who are holidaying with you. Turkey is
a destination that is quite and millions of holiday goers go there every year.
So what are the things to do and places to visit on Turkey holidays?

Enjoy your hotel - this may seem quite apparent but Turkey has some fantastic
hotels which have a lot to do in them. Obviously the more stars your
accommodation has the more there usually is to do there. For example many 3-4
star hotels that are situated on the beach have water sports, spas where you
can enjoy a Turkish bath, bars and places to dine.

Take a boat trip - this is one of the things that a holiday to turkey is really
well known for. So if this interests you, go to the harbour and you can see the
different boat trips on offer. Some will take you around the Turkish coast,
some will take you fishing, on some you can see places of interest or you could
even go on a evening boat trip, its up to you.

Visit one of the many different places of interest. In Turkey there are many
different cultural places of interest and two of the most well known are
Pamukale which are a collection of mountainside pools which are made from
calcium and look like clouds. The other is Ephesus an ancient ruined city where
Plato is thought to have lived. This is an experience unlike any other and
something that anyone over the age of 10 will enjoy on Turkey holidays,
children younger than this may find the heat too oppressive.

Savour some of the local cuisine - Turkey is well known for its kebabs and you
should try out some original Turkish cuisine whilst on holiday there, Turkish
kebabs are real kebabs and not the ones you would find on your high street
after a night out. The food is tasty and moreish and you will be spoilt for
choice from what is offer. In fact you might enjoy it so much that you will
need to bring alternate clothing incase you gain weight.

Have a Turkish evening - go on a holiday to Turkey and you should take in some
traditional Turkish entertainment such as belly dancing, which both men and
women do. This is guaranteed laughs for all the family especially of you get up
and take part yourself. You can also sample some of the local drink Raki which
is quite strong - so take your time!

You can also take a camel ride, these are not always for the squeamish as
camels do tend to have a mind of their own when it comes to stopping and
starting but they are still lots of fun either way.

So now you know a few things to keep you busy on Turkey holidays you will
probably be thinking about booking yourself on one. With a wealth of things to
see and do you will have the time of your life in this wonderful destination.
All that is left to do is get saving and book some time in this wonderful
country.
