Before you go away somewhere it is always an idea to know what there is to do there, more so if you have kids who are holidaying with you. Turkey is a destination that is really and thousands of holiday makers go there each and every year. So what are the activities to do and places to see on Turkey holidays? Enjoy your accommodation - this may seem quite obvious but Turkey has some fantastic hotels which have a lot to do in them. Obviously the more stars a hotel has the more there usually is to do there. For example many 3-4 star hotels that are situated near the beach have water activities, spas where you can enjoy a Turkish bath, bars and restaurants. Take a boat journey - this is one of the things that a holiday to turkey is really well known for. So if this interests you, head to the harbour and take a look at the different boat trips on offer. Some will take you around the Turkish coast, some will take you on fishing trips, on some you will see places of interest or you could even go on a evening boat trip, the choice is yours. Visit one of the many different places of interest. In Turkey there are a lot of different historical places that may interest you and two of the most well known are Ephesus an ancient ruined city where Plato is thought to have lived. The other is Pamukale which are a collection of mountainside pools which are made from calcium and look like clouds. This is an unforgettable experience and something that any teenager in your party will enjoy on a holiday to Turkey, children younger than this may find the heat too much. Savour some of the Turkish cuisine - Turkey is famous for its kebabs and you should try out some of the traditional food whilst on holiday there, these are real kebabs and not the ones you would find on your high street after a night out. The food is tasty and plentiful and you will be spoilt for choice from what is offer. In fact you might like it so much that you will need to bring clothes to accommodate your growing waistline! Have a Turkish night - go on Turkey holidays and you should take in some traditional Turkish entertainment such as belly dancing, which men can do aswell as women. This is great fun for all the family especially of you get up and take part yourself. You will also be able to try a local beverage called Raki which is quite potent - so take your time! You can also take a camel ride, these are not always for the faint hearted as camels do tend to have a mind of their own when it comes to their movement but they are still lots of fun either way. So now you know a few activities to do on Turkey holidays you will most probably be thinking about booking one for yourself.
