Before you go away somewhere it is normally an idea to know what there is to do
there, especially if you have kids who are holidaying with you. Turkey is a
destination that is quite and thousands of holiday makers go there every year.
So what are the things to do and places to visit on Turkey holidays?

Enjoy your accommodation - this may seem a bit apparent but Turkey has some
excellent hotels which have plenty to keep you busy in them. Obviously the more
stars the hotel you stay at has the more there usually is to do there. For
instance many 3-4 star hotels that are located near the beach have water
sports, spas where you can enjoy a Turkish bath, bars and restaurants.

Go on a boat trip - this is one of the things that a holiday to turkey is
really well known for. So if it interests you, head to the harbour and take a
look at the different boat trips available. Some will take you around the
coastline, some will take you on fishing trips, on some you will see places of
interest or you could even go on a evening boat trip, the choice is yours.

Visit one of the many different places of interest. In Turkey there are a lot
of different cultural places that may interest you and two of the most well
known are Pamukale which are a collection of mountainside pools which are made
from calcium and look like clouds. The other is Ephesus an ancient ruined city
where Plato is thought to have lived. This is an unforgettable experience and
something that any teenager in your party will enjoy on a holiday to Turkey,
children younger than this may find the heat too much.

Enjoy some of the local cuisine - Turkey is famous for its kebabs and you
should try out some original Turkish cuisine whilst on holiday there, Turkish
kebabs are real kebabs and not the ones you would find on your high street
after a night out. The food is tasty and plentiful and you will be spoilt for
choice from what is offer. In fact you might like it so much that you may need
to pack alternate clothing incase you gain weight.

Experience a Turkish evening - go on Turkey holidays and you should take in
some authentic Turkish entertainment such as belly dancing, which men can do
aswell as women. This is great fun for all the family and you might even be
encouraged to take to the floor yourself. You will also be able to sample some
of the local drink Raki which is quite strong - so be careful!

You can also go on a camel ride, these are not always for the faint hearted as
camels do tend to have a mind of their own when it comes to their movement but
they are still lots of fun either way.

So now you know a few of the things to do on a holiday to Turkey you will
probably be thinking about booking one for yourself. With so many things to see
and do you will have an enjoyable holiday in this wonderful destination. All
you need to do is get the funds together and book some time in this wonderful
country.
