Washington D.C. is considered the "seat of power" for our country. And while
most of the "power spots" -- including the White House and Capitol -- are
grouped together around the National Mall, there are other sites around the
city that just can not be missed! Whether you are just visiting D.C. or you are
a resident wanting to get to know the city you live in -- a fun and stress-free
way to see all that the district has to offer would be to hire a D.C. Limousine
to take you from the mall to other sites around town.

A must see is the National Cathedral. Its highest point reaches 676 feet and it
can be seen from many points of the city. Its design is influenced by Gothic
architectural styles of the middle ages and the many gargoyle designs on the
cathedral provide interesting objects to look at. High on the northwest tower,
you can even spot a sculpture of Darth Vader! There are also over 200
stained-glass windows including one called the Space Window, which is a tribute
to man landing on the moon!

After touring the Cathedral, have a DC limo / DC limousine, service drive you
past the Vice Presidents house on Massachusetts Avenue. If you're lucky, you
might get to wave to Mr. Biden as he's heading out in his motorcade -- he might
just turn and notice if you're in a D.C. limo -- and that would certainly be
grounds to say you've met the Vice President!

Another can't miss attraction in Washington D.C. is the Basilica of the
National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. It is the largest Roman Catholic
Church in North America! Its design is Romanesque-Byzantine. The Romanesque
influence is meant to mesh with the districts other monuments built in that
style. The Byzantine art in the basilica wows tourists with the beautiful use
of marble and mosaic. Compare the architecture from the basilica to that of the
cathedral and you will become an architecture buff in a day!

On your way back from the basilica, swing by Union Station. Make sure to turn
around right before you walk in the door -- the arches outside the station
frame a beautiful picture. Flags line the traffic circle and the green space
and senate buildings lavishly lay in front of this hub of transportation. Once
you're inside enjoy a cup of coffee at one of the many cafes, or go shopping in
one of many boutiques. You will be charmed by the stations marble floors and
high arch ceilings, which in some places are 96 feet high!

After a day of touring around, a nice way to wind down is to enjoy a play at
one of D.C.'s many theaters. Arrive in a stylish D.C. limousine and avoid the
hassle of parking downtown at the National Theatre where you can catch a
showing of the acclaimed musical Jersey Boys (starting in October). While
visiting, it's exciting to keep in mind that the theater has entertained every
president since Andrew Jackson!

You could also catch a show at the Kennedy Center, which is home to the
National Symphony Orchestra. The center hosts musical and theatrical
performances. Symbolic of its service as a leader in performing arts in the
nation, is a hall of states which holds flags of all U.S. states and
territories. Make sure you get there a little before your show so that you can
look around the building. The center has a sprawling terrace which overlooks
the Potomac, offering a gorgeous view at sunset. The Kennedy Center is also
located right next to the infamous Watergate apartments. Make sure to tell your
D.C. limo driver that you want to drive by so you can see the walls of a
building that holds so many secrets!

Touring a sprawling city like D.C. on foot in a day would be nearly impossible.
But with a DC limo / DC limousine service it is comfortable and easy. Many of
the spots mentioned are not easily accessible via public transportation. Hire a
driver from AJ Limousine to take you around town and forget messing with maps,
and getting lost. All AJ Limousine drivers are familiar with D.C.s streets and
can take you around town, allowing you to focus on exploring, and enjoying, all
