To be able to use Google Analytics, which is a free service, you have to install a code into your home page. Google has step by step instructions, how to do this. Once it is done, you start to get useful information right away. 1. Does Your Marketing Strategy Work? The basic number is the amount of traffic, i.e. how many people have visited your home based business ideas site during a certain time. This is the data, which have been devided into the search engine traffic, referring sites and the direct traffic. And to even smaller pieces. I see, that the best keyword brought 9 percentages of all traffic and the best 10 about 21 percentages. By the way the number 50 on the list brought 7 visitors a month, number 100 4 visitors, number 300 2 visitors and number 500 1 visitor per month. It is not much per keyword, but the amount of them is the key. 2. How Is Your AdSense Doing? Here you will see, how many times your AdSense ads have been presented and what is the CTR, click through rate. You will see the total income, which AdSense ads have brought. But even more interesting is to see, where these clicks come from. I saw huge differences between different keywords. The general keywords worked best and the long tail ones worst for AdSense. 3.
