Up until just a few years ago, anyone who required larger than normal sized
clothing had very few choices. These people, knowing that they could not fit
into standard sized clothing, were forced to shop for their clothes at
over-priced mail order companies. Maybe sometimes it was possible to find a few
larger sizes on odd racks in department stores, but the choices were far less
than appealing.

Recently, things have changed quite dramatically as more and more top brand
name and designer labels are now available in plus sizes. Instead of having to
settle for old-fashioned, ill-fitting clothing, larger people can now find a
wide assortment of plus size clothes in shopping malls, local department stores
as well as online. The assortment today includes the hottest fashion trends for
every season including the latest jeans, sportswear, sweaters, dresses,
swimwear and lingerie.

It is a known fact that there are millions of people around the world that are
considered to be plus sized. Not everyone can fit into the 'normal' sizes and
the demand is higher than ever before for clothing that fits larger people.
People who are considered to be overweight are faced with discrimination at the
workplace and in social circles. People, regardless of how much they weigh, all
want to look as good as possible and be accepted by their peers. Everyone
enjoys buying and wearing the latest trends, including larger sized
individuals.

Now, people can easily find plus size clothes at high-end boutiques, at their
local shopping centre and on websites that specialise in selling clothing for
larger people. There are even children's clothing stores that offer many types
of clothes for kids who are overweight. Larger women used to be completely lost
when it came time to find formal wear in their sizes. This often resulted in
these women cancelling dates and special invitations to go out for an elegant
evening. Nowadays, it is very easy to find prom dresses, cocktail dresses, and
elegant, flowing gowns in sizes to fit any woman, regardless of her size.

Lingerie also used to be impossible to find for large women. Now, there are
many websites that sell only sexy undergarments for women who are heavier than
average. Men of size also felt discriminated against when it came to clothing.
It was nearly unheard of just a few years ago for a large man to locate a fine
business suit in his size. Today however, there are formal men's stores that
include large sizes in their inventory so that large men no longer have to wear
old sports jackets purchased from run-of-the-mill department stores. Instead,
they are buying the best looking suits on the market, with the top brand names
sewn in the collars.

It is estimated that there are well over sixty top name brands of plus size
clothes to choose from in the UK today. This is a trend that is welcomed by
many and it shows no signs of slowing. Larger size clothing is finally in the
mainstream of society. The shops are out in the open, they compete directly
with other retailers and business is said to be booming.

Spirito di Artigiano offers a wide collection of stylish Italian plus size
clothes for women. The collection includes plus size women's trousers and plus
size dresses in sizes 14-28. Browse the entire Spirito collection of plus size
clothes at the Artigiano website.
