If there is anything women love and need a variety of, it is clothing. Whether a woman needs a variety of dress suits, dresses, trouser suits, or evening wear, they desire a huge closet full from which to choose. The average woman knows they may not have a different outfit for each day of the year, but they would be happy to settle for a different item of women's clothing on a monthly basis at least. That might mean twenty to twenty five different dresses or blouses (tops), trousers, and skirts. Of course what is worn on a particular day depends on her profession. Women who are executives in a busy office environment must dress the part of professional business woman and that requires the tailored look of a nice pant suit or suit jacket and skirt. If that same woman chooses to go out for an evening of dancing and a romantic evening, she'll go home first and try on several evening dresses before making her decision as to what to wear. This is often the time when women make that familiar statement "I have nothing to wear"! If they have but two or three gowns or dresses and her date has already seen her in them, she feels sorry for herself and may go on a shopping spree the very next day. What makes women feel that what they wear is so critical? Is it an ego thing or social ramification of the world we live in? Actually some of each is most likely. As we grow up we learn that dressing well is important, whether in school, on a social occasion like a date, or in the work environment. Women (and men as well) must be aware of how they look to others as that appearance can determine if we get a job and later will help in getting that promotion or raise. When shopping for women's clothing, we not only need to look for items that are in style, fit well, and are made with attractive colours and materials, but that we can afford. Those of us who are on some type of budget realise we cannot simply go out and buy up every item of clothing we like. Shopping for bargains can be fun and finding great sales is exciting. Functional clothing means you are practical and want apparel that is warm, comfortable, and fits well but not necessarily stylish or dressy. A practical woman knows she must have clothes made from good sustainable materials like cotton, polyester, or even the latest trend of bamboo. Long gone are the days of furs and leather. Accessorising is yet another way to add to a woman's wardrobe and allows one dress to be worn several different ways. If she adds a scarf or belt to the same dress it may appear to be yet another outfit altogether. The local department stores have a good selection of stylish and modern attire for women from which to choose, often having sales to draw in customers. Another consideration when looking for women's clothing is the internet or catalogue stores. Look for some great bargain prices on ladies apparel and undergarments at some of the internet based stores.
