It requires a full session on juggling to bring all soccer drills to a conclusion. Since it is a very basic skill, its vital that all soccer players have mastered it. Its an activity that is valuable not only for the beginners but also the senior players. Players tend to juggle the ball by using their head, feet, and thighs in related soccer exercises. Using this as a warm up activity, players start to feel their muscles to become warm and the heart rate increasing in only about 10 minutes of juggling the ball, thus revealing its utility. Juggling is also helpful in making the players become skilled at the close ball skills and the way to deal with the ball. They develop a sense of controlling and maneuvering the ball amidst an opposition attack. Last but not the least, players develop confidence through juggling that makes them relax with the ball (a vital quality required for successful attack). During soccer practice, players can juggle individually and develop their own styles. A handful of following tips will be of some use to you being the coach. When juggling with the foot, teach the players to use the top of the foot or the laces. The legs should be hassle-free and the foot should be twisted when it gets in touch with the ball. Guide them to clasp the arms out a bit so as to maintain balance. When players juggle with their thighs, coach them to bring their knee up for the upper leg to stay horizontal. Help them identify the fact that ball needs to come into contact with the top of the thigh. It is vital that the body is bent backwards a little and the arms straightened out so that balance is maintained. Juggling using the head is the most difficult for the kids. But, during the soccer drills, they must practice it at all costs. It needs the players to judge the correct angle to bring the forehead in contact with the ball. The head should be amply high so that the eyes face the sky. The legs should be curved a little and straightened up every time a contact with the ball is achieved. As supplementary to these soccer training techniques, ask the players to use shoulders, outside of the heels, and the back of the neck also. Under extraordinary conditions, it becomes crucial to use these contact points. The young players should enjoy feeling the ball on their laces because this is the area that they will use the most to shoot the ball. To finish off, it is necessary to highlight the factors of rhythm and balance. These help in juggling and therefore must be learnt. Coach the players to relax and foresee the movement of the ball. After practicing, they will be able to juggle well. Now get out there and demonstrate some soccer drills involving juggling to your kids.
