Smoking can cause you a lot of damage than you think. One of the most common health problems that smoking can cause you is heart disease. Yes my friend, with long term smoking you have a higher risk of developing heart disease on the latter part of your life. But these days, more and more younger people as young as 30 develop heart disease due to heavy smoking which started at the age of 12. Smoking a cigarette produces carbon monoxide which you inhale. In a normal state, hemoglobin carries oxygen which is distributed through the blood stream to provide oxygen to our vital organs such as our heart. But lesser oxygen will be provided when there is a presence of carbon monoxide. It replaces a certain amount of oxygen that is being carried by hemoglobin. Moreover, smoking also does constrict your blood vessels making it harder for your blood to pass through it. With less oxygen provided, it causes the production of blood clots around the vessel. This manner would give you more chances of having a heart attack in no time. But that isn't only the case. With long term heavy smoking, you are more likely to develop fatty deposits around your arteries. It constricts the blood vessels giving more hard time for blood to flow through it. This manner could be extremely dangerous for it is subtle by nature. One minute you may feel fine and on the other minute your arteries have ruptured due to a thinning of your arterial wall because your blood flow has chased its way through it. This is called aneurysm which causes stroke or a lifetime of disability. I hope it scares you to know that smoking could really kill. Smokers overlooked the fact that it is causing them more damage than good in their body. Having a heart disease is never easy. It requires a high maintenance kind of treatment which could possibly be lifetime. But it can definitely be prevented. Why wait for a heart disease to develop when you can prevent it from developing? Quit smoking now and decrease your risk from having heart disease. You see, smoking makes your life miserable but of course pleasure and satisfaction from it comes first. But eventually, as time passes by, it develops several health problems such as heart disease which could cost you your life. Quit smoking today and live a life free from illnesses.
