------------------ ARTICLE START ------------------

I was reading my ESPN the magazine and I ran across a segment by the Chicago
outplacement firm Challenger Gray & Christmas. They did a little segment that
many people in the cubicle world has heard that March Madness results in
billions of lost productivity.

I hear this all the time and that the first week when people are making their
brackets and when they are busted up in round one is where so much time is
lost. Then the attention tends to die down but the damage has been done.
Millions of hours gone to the love of March Madness.

See, Challenger Gray Christmas can put a dollar value not by using polls but by
gathering statistics on productivity, average salaries, and an estimate of time
to come up with a guess. It's not exactly rocket science but this is a general
snippet of what was lost in a week.

$6.3 billion, General Injuries
$2.3 billion, Facebook
$1.9 billion, Smoking
$1.8 billion, First Week of March Madness
$1.1 billion, Diabetes
$1.1 billion, Obesity
$845 million, Super Bowl Week
$615 million, Fantasy Football

I love how one week of March Madness is more than entire season of Fantasy
Football (my favorite time waster).

Challenger Gray & Christmas pretty much sums it up that March Madness does it
damage which can be avoidable but there is a silver lining. March Madness,
Super Bowl Week, and Fantasy Football aren't all entirely bad like smoking and
obesity. See, team sports in the work place brings people together. Smokes in
Texas are generally outcast to smoke outside in some small area like lepers.

How is your business doing with productivity. If Facebook is ranked number 2 in
time wasted are you doing things counterproductive to your bottom line? Are you
spending time in places that aren't giving you a return on investment on time
and money?

I'm not saying Facebook is a waste of time but by the way people approach it so
many are just shooting themselves in the foot. If your in business to make
money are you being efficient at it? Or is your business like a never ending
first week of March Madness where your not productive at all.

Spending leisurely time to yourself isn't bad but if it cuts into your daily
output on a consistent basis how can you expect to break out? Then you wonder
why your not generating MLM Leads and never got a handle on on traffic
generation. Your MLM Opportunity will not sell itself no matter what they tell
you. Your in the business of sales, remember that.

It's 2 phases. Learning then applying.

If your constantly distracted how are you going to have time to learn let along
apply what you learn. This is why people hire success coaches. It's not that
you are not capable of succeeding but at time it's as basic as time and
resource management.

If you are not learning from other internet marketers how can you expect to
make it? It's hard enough to implement but if your trying to do it all by
yourself it just makes it exponentially harder. Don't reinvent the wheel, just
make it incrementally better.

Lawrence Tam trains network marketers on correctly marketing their business
online. Be productive and efficient:
