For some, smoking is just a pastime. And some do it just for the heck of 
smoking. Others do smoke to release tension. The bad news is - some make a 
habit out of it. If smoking is one of your habits, then it would be quite 
difficult for you to fight your cravings for a cigarette. But it doesn't mean 
that you can't fight such craving. It takes time to cease your craving for 
smoking. And that time would be very challenging for you. To make the challenge 
more winnable, I will provide you some essential measures you can do to fight 
your cravings of smoking.

1.  You go for a fruit diet. This measure is very effective when your craving 
of smoking haunts you most of the time any time of the day. What you do is that 
you put a bundle of fruits on every corner of your house. I that way, each time 
your craving haunts you, you will be able to divert your attention to eating - 
and that is eating fruits. You could just simply pick a fruit at the corner and 
just eat as much as you can until your craving is gone. Moreover, having a 
fruit diet would even help you detoxify because fruits contain natural 
nutrients that helps cleanse your body from nicotine. Such manner would then 
lessen your craving scientifically.

2. You have to exercise. Exercise is probably one of the best weapons you could 
ever have to win the fight against your craving. Why? - Because with exercise 
you will be able to release all the toxins out from your body which includes 
nicotine from your blood stream. Not only that, it also diverts your body's 
attention and craving for smoking because your body will increase its capacity 
to indulge oxygen which would eventually cease your want to smoke.

3. You can make use of a nicotine gum and candies. Studies have revealed that 
the use of nicotine gum helps reduce your craving for a cigarette. These gums 
are available in different drug stores near you. Buy some for yourself so you 
will have something to chew when your craving is haunting you. Candies are also 
good alternatives to fight your craving for smoking. You can bring candies with 
you wherever you will go at all times.

So fight your craving for smoking today and for sure you will be able to quit 
smoking slowly but surely.
