A lot people, specifically smokers, find smoking very comforting where they 
come into conclusion that it relieves stress. What they don't know is that such 
effect is a temporary state where in somehow it does make them feel relieved 
from stress. The fact of the matter is that it can lead to addiction. Further 
more, it can even cause you several diseases which could be fatal to the body.

Well, it all comes down into one thing. And that is how you handle stress in 
tough times especially with work. It is a matter of how your body reacts on a 
stressful situation where you get to think over on what you are supposed to do 
in order to surpass such situation physically and psychologically. Most smokers 
perceive smoking as a remedy to stressful and tensed situations where it gives 
them the satisfaction of being calm and relieved.

Given to such fact, you as a person have to analyze the reality on what smoking 
can really provide you. Though it gives relief to stressful times, you must not 
allow yourself to indulge to such possibility of being consumed to smoking 
because it can really destroy your health, or worse - your life.

If you have already made to a habit where you smoke to relieve stress, then you 
better start thinking about your future - most especially about your health and 
how it could possibly destroy your future plans. You have to start thinking 
about other remedies you can do in order to relieve stress, rather than having 
smoking to do so. Instead of smoking, you can exercise to fight your cravings 
for cigarettes. It is even better to have food as a remedy to fight stress than 
to smoke thinking that it can relieve stress when in fact it wouldn't. It would 
only cause you more damage to your health.

To quit smoking is not easy. It can be very stressful to one person. others may 
take it easy but find it difficult to put into action. Consider this - smoking 
causes several health problems which could be very fatal on you such as lung 
cancer, heart failure, hypertension and other lung problems. Not to mention, 
most lung problems are quite painful. So better quit today, it is never too 
late to cleanse and detoxify your body from nicotine. You just have to have the 
proper mindset for you to be able to do so and be successful in quitting 
smoking.
