Solar energy and wind power are both natural resources that many people have been making use of to produce electricity providing light and power. Both have been on continual studies and research in making our lives less costly and more convenient. Both have their own advantages and disadvantages. Either way, both provides power in a natural way. Studies have revealed that wind power is more cost effective. But how come the use of solar energy is more popular than the use of wind? Well, it's a matter of convenience. The energy from the sun has been developed all these years providing several new inventions being conceived all throughout its development. The use of such energy even at night time has been discovered and implemented to provide light to many people who have lived in darkness. It is an invention called green gas effect which splits water properties into hydrogen and oxygen producing electricity. This has been further developed through the creation of solar cells which makes it even more convenient in providing light and power to several group of people in many countries across the globe. Cooking and heating water appliances with the use of solar energy were even invented. On the other hand, wind power isn't much different. Just like solar energy, the use of wind power has been developed through the years as well. Making use of wind power requires a propeller and a shaft system wrapped in a coil of wire inside. Electrons are moved within the wire as the wind powers up the propeller and the magnet producing electricity. This manner is much cheaper than solar energy. But in time, as what studies have predicted, as the demand of it increases, its production will be decreased. As what I have said, both have their own advantages and disadvantages. Solar energy on the other hand requires a larger space for the solar cells. Not to mention, the farther you are from the equator, the lesser energy from the sun you get. The development of both resources varies in every aspect in providing light and power. The power of each source would depend on the location on where it is being developed. Wind power could be much more effective in windy areas. While solar energy is more powerful I places closest to the equator. The use of both resources is essential for our survival. It makes our lives much more convenient. Both developments are surely most reliable in the future. Either way, the power of these resources is definitely on its way for mass usage.
