Every day upon waking I say Goodmorning to my wife and to my son. Unfortunately
I neve
r hear it returned. When my wife cleans the house up or does the dishes I will
first complement her and then say Thank You. This is called showing respect to
other people. When I do dishes, which is often, or clean an area I never get
any type of complemenmt or a simple Thank You.

In order to make sure this was actually happeing and not something I was
inventing I decided to put it all to a test. Yesterday upon waking I said
nothing to my wife or to my son and they reciprocated. Dishes were never done
and I only washed what I would use.On a daily basis I am trying my hardest to
stay positive but I am surround by negative people ie...I rarely leave the
house.

Yesterday afternoon, early evening, I decided to go for a walk. No body said
"Dad it might rain, leave me the keys for your car so I can come get you if it
does rain" Nobody said anything to me whatsoever.

After I had walke about 1.5 miles it started raining with a lot of thunder and
lightning so I was able to duck into a store and wait out the storm. When to
storm was only a drizzle I decided to walk back home which now that I think
about it was a stupid idea. The rain again became heavy after walking almost a
mile. 3 police cars passed me, no sirens on at all, but yet none of them
stopped. I also saw a fire engine pass 3 times. The first time was with sirens
on so I understood that it could not stop. The other 2 times it was driving
kind of slow but they offered no shelter or even a ride.

27 years ago I dressed in an army jacket, had long hair, plus looked as if I
smoked a lot of something other than cigarettes. I could get a ride without any
problem back then. Nowadays, dressed as a perfect gentleman, everybody just
passes me buy. I do have to make 1 correction, some people thought it was neat
to drive through large puddles and drench me, then they would drive away
laughing.
